Leslie Van Bell, E-RYT-500

Leslie Van Bell, affectionately known by her students as LVB, is a yoga teacher at the Funky OM in Huntington, New York. Leslie passionately connects with people through mindful and healthy living. She abundantly shares the many ways in which yoga, essential oils, clean eating and leading a chemical free lifestyle has dramatically changed her life, as well as the lives of so many around her!

Leslie began practicing yoga in the year 2000, when she was pregnant with her first child. Her desire to do something healthy for herself and her baby led to a whole new way of life. After cultivating a deeper personal practice for many years, Leslie decided to combine her love of yoga with her love of teaching and became a Certified Yoga Teacher in 2008. Over the years, Leslie has continued to participate in teacher trainings and workshops to fulfill her personal intention of life long learning. Leslie's teaching style combines a strong vinyasa flow with safe, intelligent and fun sequencing. Her classes and sessions focus on instilling feelings of empowerment and fostering the belief that yoga can enhance each student's life.

In addition to teaching yoga, Leslie is incredibly passionate about helping others achieve wellness through essential oils. She always dabbled in essential oils as a yoga teacher, but finding Young Living products was a game changer!! One her greatest joys is teaching others how to incorporate essential oils into their everyday lives. Leslie offers wellness coaching, leads classes on how to create a chemical free home and is an Independent Distributor of Young Living Essential Oils.

In addition to her regular teaching schedule, Leslie leads mini wellness retreats featuring yoga, essential oils and much more! Leslie also co-leads a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training program at The Funky OM in Huntington. She has taught Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Yoga for Athletes, Family and Kids Yoga, and Yoga for Educators. Leslie is also a Certified Special Education Teacher and lives in East Northport with her husband and two sons. LVB is honored to help grow and support the wellness community, aspiring to help each person she meets find his or her own joy within.
